Those of you who know me may be wondering, "Where the hell has he been?" I barely show my face on the Internet anymore. Why? One good reason. I don't have it at my new residence.
So here I sit at the Orwigsburg public library updating this damn thing and wondering what's happening around the world.
First thing. Who would have thought the election would have turned out the way that it did? A historical moment in the lives and times of modern America. I've always thought that I would witness the first black president. I just didn't think it would come this soon.
Barack Obama filled me with a sense of hope. Whether the thoughts and hopes of people who believe in him will be fulfilled or not is to be determined as he makes the transition into the Oval Office and becomes our new president.
To all of the people who doubt him and doubted his ability to win the election, sorry. As much as I was disappointed in the people electing Bush to a second term, I knew that the eyes of Americans would be opened this time. And this time, Sarah Palin smacked them in the face and spilled hot coffee in their laps. She, I believe, was the biggest hurdle for McCain to overcome.
So, history is made and eight years of poor leadership will come to an end. Obama has a lot to clean up. Not surprising since we let a 2-year-old run the country for the past eight years. They always seem to leave a mess for the s to clean up.
I'm glad that we finally have a president who knows how to speak the English language. No more "strategery" and made up words. I can finally watch a president speak without wanting to vomit.
My new job is going well. My living situation is great and I'm finally relaxed enough to begin reading and writing more like I've wanted to. My mind had been in a mental lock for too long.
I'll be on here at least once a week. This library has hardcover books for sale for $1. I can't pass that up.
