I don't really like flying but I'm obsessed with going places and especially leaving the country so I get past my unease about it. Have a great time.Psychedelicsisterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09915724191647277002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1878620402028255616.post-57638034718478443562011-07-17T08:38:51.340-04:002011-07-17T08:38:51.340-04:00Travelling is awesome. I think I'm spending close to a 1/3rd of this years wages exploring :P The good news about doing your first solo flight is whilst you'll shit yourself until you're on the plane, subsequent trips feel like a doddle and you'll start feeling more adventurous in no time. I do tend to find though, that people who were raised in families that travel a lot also want to travel, whereas those that don't - like you said - find excuses not to. I have friends nervous to cross the channel without intricate planning and tend to stay within the UK, and if they do go abroad its only to sit and get a sun tan. I was raised in a family whose philosophy was if you ain't sleepin' or dyin', why ain't you walking around soaking in the sights?

You'll be fine though, its an internal flight so I'm not even sure if you need to take your passport, and certainly won't need to worry about Visa's. Hell, even if you decided to leave the country you've already got covered one of the most annoying visa waivers I know of (US Immigration freakin' sucks). Just arrive in plenty of time and read all the rules on what you can take; Baggage allowances, no fluids, sharp objects, etc, etc. And never buy anything that ain't booze or smokes at an airport unless you have to or enjoy being overcharged.T.
